Biography
Early
Years
Jackson is a native of the nation of Kenya and is proud of his tribal
heritage which shaped and molded his early childhood. Diligence
and hard work are two elements that were instilled in him as he
tended after goats and cows in the open jungles of Africa. As a
young boy, he fetched firewood and water for the family. All these
activities required long days and many miles away from home.
School
Unlike many boys in his village, Jackson sought and received some
basic education at a missionary school. In his village 60% of the
children would only have an elementary education. The cost of Higher
education or college was too burdensome for an already impoverished
community. Beating the odds, Jackson became the first child in his
family to attend high school. It was a financial giant too big and
dangerous for the family. He worked during the holidays to subsidize
his tuition. Dowry from three of his older sisters also helped to
pay most of the cost of his education. At graduation his results
were held due to a large tuition debt. The next two years were spent
in agony and insurmountable anxiety as worked to raise enough money
to pay up and get his Diploma.
Faith
It was this painful struggle that birthed a desire in him to rise
above tribal and community expectations. He accepted Christ as his
personal savior through the witness of a stranger who would later
become a God sent mentor. In the first year of his new found faith,
Jackson began to experience unique visitations from God. Miracles
and extraordinary signs began to unfold as he taught and ministered
in the villages. The villagers ascribed the title "mutungatiri"
(Servant of God) to him before he ever sought recognition through
organized Church.
Benson
Idahosa
A few years short of his twentieth birthday, an opportunity to seat
under the Ministry of the late Arch-Bishop Benson Idahosa became
available. He left home for Benin City in Nigeria where he served
and received ministry impartation from this great prophet and Apostle
of our time. While in Nigeria, Jackson completed a two year Associates
of Arts Degree in Bible. He returned to his home in Kenya where
he served for several years as the Kenya representative for Idahosa
World Outreach.
Marriage
Yes! It is a match made in heaven. Jackson met Liz at a youth Camp
in Kenya. They enjoyed each others company and traveled together
on mission trips in the company of other young adults. Five years
later, it became clear to Jackson that they were meant to share
the rest of their lives together. However, Liz had to get her own
confirmation from God, this took another two years. In 1991, Jackson
and Liz entered into the covenant of a lifetime. They have since
been blessed with two boys Maina (12) and Kaburu (9).
